3 Internal Auditors

The successful candidates will participate in internal audit assignments designed to provide assurance and advisory services while helping PAD evaluate its governance structures, risk management and internal control systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Participating in the planning, execution and closure of internal audit engagements.
• Conducting audit work according to approved programmes and professional standards.
• Collecting, analysing and interpreting information required for audit assignments.
• Assessing the effectiveness of governance, risk management and internal control systems.
• Identifying risks, control weaknesses and opportunities for improvement.
• Preparing and documenting audit working papers.
• Contributing to audit reports and recommendations.
• Monitoring the implementation of recommendations.
• Contributing to the development and updating of risk and process maps.

• Keeping up with professional standards, regulatory developments and internal-audit best practices.

  PAD Internal Auditor Job Requirements
  Candidates must be Cameroonian and no more than 45 years old.

The required academic qualification is a Bac+3 Bachelor’s degree in one of the following areas:

• Audit
• Accounting
• Finance
• Management Control
• Risk Management
• Management
• Business Administration
• Management Sciences
• An equivalent discipline
• Technical Skills and Knowledge
• Applicants should have knowledge of:

Internal audit principles, methods and techniques.
 

• The International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).
• Internal control and risk-management principles.
• Regulations applicable to public-sector enterprises.
• The port sector and logistics chain.
• Principal risks associated with port activities.
• Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

• Analytical, writing and summarising skills.
   

  Professional Experience
  Candidates must have a minimum of three (03) years of professional experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Internal audit
• External audit
• Internal control
• Accounting
• Finance
• Risk management
• Experience within a Big Four firm is stated as an advantage.

Languages and Personal Attributes
Candidates must have proficiency in French or English. Knowledge of the second language is an advantage.
