Job Description

Senior Portfolio Manager, NTDs

You Will:

  • Lead grant management and donor compliance across CBM’s multi-country NTD donor portfolio, including quality assurance and compliance review of budgets, workplans, procurement plans and donor reports prior to submission.
  • Oversee sub-award management, portfolio-wide compliance monitoring and donor reporting, identifying, mitigating and escalating compliance risks and promoting consistent grant management practices.
  • Monitor portfolio performance, budget utilisation and delivery against agreed milestones, leading portfolio-level financial oversight and risk management.
  • Identify and mitigate operational and compliance risks, providing strategic analysis and recommendations to support decision-making and portfolio effectiveness.
  • Manage donor relationships and serve as a key programmatic interface with institutional donors and donor secretariats.
  • Contribute to donor stewardship, resource mobilisation, business development and partnership opportunities, providing programme performance, compliance and impact information to support donor engagement.
  • Coordinate grant compliance and portfolio management across country teams and relevant CBM functions, working with internal stakeholders to strengthen CBM’s position as a trusted and high-performing partner.
  • Provide strategic and operational support to country programmes, with an initial focus on the RLMF portfolio while also supporting the wider NTD donor portfolio, particularly during critical planning, implementation and reporting periods.
  • Capture and share lessons learned, facilitating collaboration, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement across the NTD portfolio.

You Have:

  • A relevant academic degree in international development, public health or a related field.
  • Substantial experience in grants management within multi-country, donor-funded health or development programmes, including compliance monitoring, budgeting and sub-award management.
  • Experience managing or advising on institutional donor compliance frameworks at portfolio or multi-country level.
  • Strong working knowledge of the NTD landscape and major NTD/global health donors.
  • Experience managing sub-award or sub-grant agreements with in-country partners.
  • Experience working across multiple country offices in matrix or international environments.
  • Strong donor-facing communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational, analytical and cross-cultural relationship-building skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Professional proficiency in both English and French.
  • Willingness to travel internationally and work flexibly across time zones.
  • Identification with the Christian values and mandate of CBM.
