The Club Lagos operates under the leadership of Chukwuka Nwokobia, a Los Angeles-based entrepreneur with roughly 15 years of business experience. He’s also the CEO of Afrocity, LLC, a company he founded in 2008 that focuses on cultural events and what it calls “Social Therapy” creating spaces for people to experience different cultures while promoting positive mental health. Afrocity has built a customer base of over 10,000 people in the LA area and has hosted events featuring well-known Afrobeats artists. Nwokobia’s work has also earned him a commendation from the City of Norwalk’s mayor and city council.
The Club Lagos itself is described as a fully operational venue with existing brand recognition and an established customer base built up through prior operating phases, now positioning itself for a broader hospitality and events strategy rooted in that Afro-global cultural identity.
